SUPPORT TO ACID VICTIMS.

Use your smile to change the world, but no matter what happens, do not let the world change your smile.

As many of us know what is acid? Acid is a substance with a PH below 7, sour taste, releases hydroxyl and turns litmus paper red. Strong acids are corrosive in nature while weak ones are harmless.

Effects of acid attack on victims

There are not only physical effect but there is psychological and social as well

A survivor may have felt fear ,isolation, suicidal thoughts, major depression and many more .

Society As A Problem

The main problem is our society, our society and our mindset needs immediate change, the people in our society look in contempt towards acid victims even though we need to encourage them and revive them with our support and kindness.

We don’t need to make this obvious that they don’t look like they did before, but what we should need to tell them that they are very brave and unique and no one can defeat them. We need to make our society better.

Punishment of acid attack

In Pakistan, Offenders are punishable under Section 336(B) of the PPC, which has a maximum life imprisonment. The minimum is not less than 14 years and a minimum fine of Rs1 million.

Is acid banned in Pakistan?

Under Section 144 of the Pakistan Penal Code, public dealing of acid and other corrosive substances is banned.

Also, In 2018, the National Assembly unanimously passed the Acid and Burn Crime Bill, 2017, which offers free medical treatment and rehabilitation for survivors, but it has yet to become law. Politicians and law enforcement should not forget about this crime.

I would like to work with NGO’s who are doing work for acid victims. WE NEED TO AWARE THE PEOPLE OF THE SOCIETY THAT THEY ARE ALSO HUMAN BEING AND THEY ALSO NEED LOVE,CARE AND RESPECT.

SPREAD KINDNESS,NOT HARSHNESS
